John Pursch

Saskatchewan

I axel you Saskatchewan,
angled who constabulary,
fence appropriation with
intentional divide.

Soggy sorghum
ballast knees
flock to serendipity;
coastal aster neato
swells to plumb
defibrillation.

Amsterdam

Windmills
turn to dusk,
filling the calendar
with gel.

Juneau

Perforated pipsqueak shaves
to stubbly toga tankard tee,
shirtless in a slugfest.

Golfing orcas penetrate
the truth of sunken ham.

Hawaii

The world’s most
perfect sunset lost
in leis, sequential luaus,
hips and drums and ukuleles.
