FADE TO BLACK
images 24-32

"FADE TO BLACK started in 2015, in an open folio, about 24"w x 8.25”h acid free blank drawing book. Days and nights, 2016, pages are filled with visual & asemic poetry, a little color as the sun/moon are implied. Sections and part pages are removed and replaced in other places in the book. Marks are in ink, gouache, graphite, on cut out and cut off areas, fold ups and fold outs, and collage. Stenciled letters and words fill the book as times of day are noted. Nights are long, but sleep is marked, daytime is sometimes bright. In 2017 all the pages are scanned in to the iMac and then pages are merged or changed. Now FADE TO BLACK takes on different manifestations, a 5 bookmark edition set for UWE Bristol, UK. Now here are all different, more than 2 dozen visual poems, a long narrative. FADE TO BLACK."
