Peycho Kanev

Rain

That’s the weight of things
and the memory for them.

The contours are blurred under the fragile
light of a half moon.
Sunflowers humbly bow their heads.

The room darkens with a few octaves.
I remember, I remember, says
my wet face under the dirt.
