John Bloomberg-Rissman is in the last year of five on In the House of the Hangman, the third section of his maybe life project called Zeitgeist Spam. The first two volumes have been published: No Sounds of My Own Making (Leafe Press, 2007), and Flux, Clot & Froth (Meritage Press 2010), and sections of Hangman have been published over the last couple years at Jacket2. In addition to his Zeitgeist Spam project: he has just completed work on an anthology of which is is co-editor along with Jerome Rothenberg, titled Poems for the Millennium 5: Barbaric Vast & Wild: An Anthology of Outside & Subterranean Poetry, due out from Black Widow Press around the end of 2014/early 2015, longterm collabs with Anne Gorrick and Adam Strauss, a study of Etel Adnan in conjunction with Deborah Poe, which is in its early stages, and a new study of mortification in conjunction with Eileen Tabios, which will, hopefully lead to an anthology. He’s also learning to play viola and he blogs at www.johnbr.com (Zeitgeist Spam).
Sheila E. Murphy is a prolific poet, visual poet, and artist who has lived all of her adult life in Phoenix, Arizona. She has traveled widely, and maintains a parallel existence in the worlds of business and higher education. For the past 21 years, she has been a consultant specializing in leadership and organizational development. Recent book publications feature Murphy in visual poetry collaborations with John M. Bennett and K.S. (Kathy) Ernst. A list of publications and perspectives from Murphy appears on her Wikipedia page.
in the southern winter of 1977, lars palm came on a container ship to Australia & stayed longer than planned thanks to a slow action in the harbours. these days some of his poems travel there & show up in magazines. most recently in the company of richard lopez in the collaboration issue of Cordite. his most recent books are means (KFS, 2014) & this thing just happened (gradient books, 2014)
Marthe Reed is the author of five books: Nights Reading (Lavender Ink, 2014), Pleth, a collaboration with j hastain (Unlikely Books, 2013), (em)bodied bliss (Moria Books, 2013), Gaze (Black Radish Books, 2010) and Tender Box, A Wunderkammer (Lavender Ink, 2007). She has published chapbooks as part of the Dusie Kollektiv, as well as with above / ground press and Shirt Pocket Press. Her collaborative chapbook thrown, text by j hastain with Reed's collages, won the 2013 Smoking Glue Gun contest and will appear in Spring 2015. She is Co-Publisher of Black Radish and the Editor/Publisher of Nous-zot Press chapbooks.
Leny M. Strobel is professor and Chair of the American Multicultural Studies Department of Sonoma State University. Also the Project Director for the Center for Babaylan Studies, she recently edited Babaylan: Filipinos and the Call of the Indigenous (Ateneo de Davao University Research and Publication, 2010). Refusing to abide by artificial categories that would separate her poetry from scholarly pursuits, she also released the multi-genre Book of Her Own: Words and Images to Honor the Babaylan (Tiboli Press, 2005).
Anne Gorrick is the author of: I-Formation (Book 2) (Shearsman Books, Bristol, UK, 2012), I-Formation (Book 1) (Shearsman, 2010), and Kyotologic (Shearsman, 2008). She has co-edited (with Sam Truitt) In|Filtration: An Anthology of Innovative Poetry from the Hudson River Valley (Station Hill Press, Barrytown, NY, forthcoming in 2014), and has a new book of poetry, A’s Visuality (BlazeVOX Books, Buffalo, NY, forthcoming in 2014). She has also collaborated with artist Cynthia Winika to produce a limited edition artists’ book called “Swans, the ice,” she said with grants through the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. She has other collaborations with John Bloomberg-Rissman and Scott Helmes. She curates the reading series, Cadmium Text ( www.cadmiumtextseries.blogspot.com ) and co-curates (with Lynn Behrendt), the electronic journal Peep/Show at www.peepshowpoetry.blogspot.com.
