Misty predawn/just into dark, summer, 2014
- on acid free textured heavy paper, acrylic lacquered.
This Asemic visual poem, bookwork, is in three brass hinged wood structure/frames, with clasp.
Flat total 19 inches h by 12 inches w; standing open 12 inches w x 19 inches h x 10 inches d.
Graphite, acrylic and ink shapes of negative alphabet areas* are traced from removed sections of stencils.

These shapes are those negative spaces, made positive, that come from around the outside or the inside of the alphabet stencils.

*Example, there is a 3-sided shape in an A (a triangle, of course).





Twin Rocker paper is the base for this collage Asemic visual poem, made for the Peekskill open studios show at WC College, title is May 1, 2014. It is in a frame 11.50 inches by 9.50 inches Watercolor, gouache, graphite, color pencils, and cutout shapes of negative areas, traced from negative removed sections of stencils, and are on two additional papers. These shapes are those negative spaces, made positive, that come from around the outside and inside of the alphabet stencils.


Multimedia acid free paper is the base for this collage/assemblage Asemic visual poem, made for the Peekskill open studios WCC. Title is May EDST, 2014. It is in a frame 8 inches h by 6 inches w. Watercolor, gouache, graphite, color pencils, red string, gold candy wrapping paper and cut out shapes of negative areas, traced from removed sections of stencils, and are on two additional papers. Again, these shapes are those negative spaces, made positive, that come from around the outside and inside of the alphabet stencils.



Marilyn R. Rosenberg as usual, with stencils, ink and gouache, is making images and words and/or using the mouse, the Macs, and scanners. Some in print, MRR's edition published visual poetry artists' books: Otoliths, Australia; Luna Bisonte Prods, USA; Redfoxpress, Ireland.
